Sree is a shy, traditional young man who has quietly admired Sindhuja, his new colleague, from the moment she joined his office. Sindhuja is confident and independent, and when the two finally get together, they discover that he wants marriage and family while she wants freedom and her career. Their relationship becomes a push and pull between love and their different ideas of a future. The title strings together the Hindi, Tamil-Sanskrit and Tamil words for love. It was produced by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, whose songs were a big part of its success, and it made romantic leads of Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson.
