Siddharth is the cheerful son of an Indian family settled in Australia, devoted to his father and to the values his parents taught him. When the family is struck by loss, Siddharth comes back to Karnataka and ends up at an old-age home whose elderly residents, abandoned by their children, become a new family to him. He sets out to bring back dignity to their lives and to reunite them with the families who left them. Raajakumara is a warm, emotional family drama built around Puneeth Rajkumar's screen image. V. Harikrishna's song 'Bombe Helutaithe', a tribute to Puneeth's father Dr. Rajkumar, became an enormous hit. Released in March 2017, the film was one of the biggest Kannada blockbusters of its time and became even more cherished after Puneeth's death in 2021.
