About Radio Elshinta

Radio Elshinta broadcasts on 90.0 FM in Jakarta and is an all-news and talk station, branded on air as Elshinta News and Information. It started in 1968 playing music, then dropped music entirely in February 2000 to go over to rolling news, traffic reports, current affairs and listener call-ins. Eight regional stations of its own and more than thirty affiliates relay the Jakarta feed across Indonesia. It also carries material from NHK World and China Radio International.
