About Radio MegaMix

This is the Lima station that used to trade as La Mega and now goes out as Radio MegaMix, under the slogan Tocamos de todo, we play everything. It belongs to Grupo RPP, sits on 96.7 FM and 1470 AM in Lima, and is relayed on FM in more than twenty other Peruvian cities from Iquitos to Arequipa. Cumbia is the engine: the weekly Ranking La MegaCumbia counts down the ten most played songs, with Hermanos Yaipen, Estrellas de la Cumbia and Brunella Torpoco regularly near the top. Around that sits salsa, Latin pop and reggaeton, so the hours move easily between a cumbia standard and something released last week. Mornings are A Todo Mix with Mariella Zanetti and Daniel Marquina, sport gets its own slot in Mix Deportivo with El Tanke Arias, and there are strands built around cumbia royalty in Hermanos Yaipen y sus amigos and Los Gigantes de la Megacumbia. The shows also run on YouTube and TikTok, so the studio banter gets a second life on video.
