Description

Raja and his partner are petty thieves who, while on the run, slip into a big house and end up staying on under false pretences. There Raja meets a gentle young woman who is treated like a servant by her own relatives. He begins to look out for her, and when he discovers that she has a fine singing voice, he quietly sets about changing her life, even as his own past threatens to catch up with him. Raja is the Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen, and was a major success for Venkatesh, with Soundarya giving one of her most affecting performances. Its songs by S. A. Rajkumar were very popular. It is a soft, sentimental romance rather than an action film.
