Raja Huli (2013)

Raja Huli is a hot-headed but good-hearted young man in a Mandya village who will do anything for his friends. When he helps a friend chase the girl he loves, it is Raja Huli whom she falls for, setting off a chain of jealousy, family feuds and treachery from people he trusted. The film is a Kannada remake of the Tamil hit Sundarapandian (2012), with Yash in the title role shortly before his rise to superstardom, and Meghana Raj as the heroine. Veteran composer Hamsalekha wrote the songs, and the earthy Mandya setting and dialect add to its appeal.
