Rakhi is a loving brother whose world is shattered when his sister suffers at the hands of her husband and his family, and the law offers no help. Grief and rage turn him into an avenger who targets men guilty of crimes against women, carrying out punishments that shock the state, while a police officer tries to track him down. Director Krishna Vamsi, known for socially themed films such as Sindhooram and Khadgam, uses the vigilante story to raise questions about dowry, domestic abuse and sexual violence. N. T. Rama Rao Jr.'s emotional, high-intensity performance and his long courtroom-style speech were praised, while Ileana D'Cruz and Charmme Kaur play the women in his life. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music.
