Ramji Londonwaley (2005)

Ramji is a village cook from Bihar with a gift for food and a heart full of innocence. A chance takes him to London to cook for a restaurant, but things go wrong and he finds himself working illegally and on the run from immigration authorities. To stay, he agrees to a marriage of convenience with a young woman, and what begins as paperwork grows into something neither expected. The film is a gentle comedy-drama about immigrants and belonging, and is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Nala Damayanthi (2003), in which Madhavan played the same role. The Hindi version moved the hero from Tamil Nadu to Bihar.
