Ricky and Radha grew up together in a village in the forests of the Western Ghats and have loved each other since childhood. As they grow older, he moves away for work while she stays behind, and the area's tensions between villagers, authorities and the Naxalite movement pull her into a struggle much bigger than their romance. When Ricky returns he finds a changed world and must decide how far he will go to bring her back. Ricky was the directorial debut of Rishab Shetty, later the maker and star of Kantara, and paired him again with his close collaborator Rakshit Shetty. It is a love story with a political backdrop, set among striking forest landscapes.
