Roja Kootam (2002)

Roja Kootam ("a bunch of roses") is a Tamil romantic drama by director Sasi, starring Srikanth opposite Bhumika Chawla. It follows a young couple whose feelings for each other grow slowly and meet resistance from family and circumstance, and it is told in the soft, music-led style typical of Tamil love stories of the early 2000s, with songs by Bharadwaj. The film was Srikanth's debut as a leading man, launching a career that continued with hits such as April Maadhathil and Parthiban Kanavu.
