Chandu is an easygoing youngster who falls for Nandu, but her elder brother, a tough and principled man played by Srihari, is not about to hand his sister to anyone who has not earned her. To win the family over, Chandu has to show what he is made of, and the test grows serious when enemies of the brother come into the picture. Rough combines a breezy romance with mass action and gave Aadi, son of actor Sai Kumar, one of his more energetic roles opposite a rising Rakul Preet Singh. It was among the last films of Srihari, who died in 2013 before its release, and has songs by Mani Sharma.
