Rowthiram (2011)

Shiva is a martial-arts trained young man from a middle-class family who has never been able to look away when someone is bullied. His father worries that his temper will get him killed, and when Shiva crosses a gang that controls a part of the city, those fears start coming true. His fight with the gangsters soon threatens his family and the woman he loves. Rowthiram ("fury") was the directing debut of Gokul, who later made Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, and it gave Jiiva a straight action role after a run of varied films. It was released in August 2011.
