Rum is a Tamil horror thriller in which a group of young thieves, fresh from a robbery, take shelter in a lonely old house to lie low. Strange things begin to happen and it becomes clear that the house holds a dark secret of its own, one that seems to have chosen them for a reason. Hrishikesh and Sanchita Shetty lead the cast, with comedian Vivek, Miya George and Narain in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music, and the film mixes heist-gang banter with haunted-house scares in the manner of many Tamil horror films of the period.
