Venu is a freelance news cameraman with a reputation for getting the shot no one else can. His old flame Renuka, now a senior editor at a news channel, needs him for one more story, and the footage he captures exposes a political conspiracy that puts both of them in the sights of dangerous people. With the clock ticking, they have to stay one step ahead long enough to get the truth on air. Run Baby Run was a big hit for the Mohanlal–Joshiy pairing, praised for its pace and twists, and it was the first solo script by Sachy, who went on to write and direct Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Mohanlal also sang the popular song Aattumanal Payayil for the film.
