Rupai (2017)

Rupai ("rupee") is a Tamil drama from M. Anbazhagan, director of Saattai. Chandran plays a young lorry driver who, with his friend, is struggling to pay off the loan on his truck. On a trip to Chennai they end up with a stash of money that does not belong to them, and they also meet a young woman, played by Anandhi, who needs help. The money brings thugs and trouble after them, and the film mixes comedy, romance and chase in a story about how far ordinary people will go for cash.
