Rustom-E-Hind (1965)

Rustom-E-Hind is one of the many 1960s action films built around Dara Singh, the champion wrestler who became a Hindi film star, here paired with Mumtaz, his frequent co-star of that decade. The title, meaning "champion of India", was a real wrestling honour that Dara Singh himself had won in the ring, and the film makes the most of his strength and wrestling bouts, mixing them with romance, villainy and songs. These modest-budget adventures were enormously popular in their day and helped launch Mumtaz towards the front rank.
