S Storm (2016)

William Luk of Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption is back. A bribery complaint that looks small at first leads his team into a web of corruption involving a well-connected businessman, while officers of the police Commercial Crime Bureau work a parallel case, and the two forces find themselves both rivals and allies. As witnesses disappear and the evidence keeps shifting, Luk has to work out whom to trust inside his own system. S Storm is the second film in David Lam's 'Storm' series of anti-corruption thrillers after Z Storm (2014), followed by L Storm, P Storm and G Storm, all built around Louis Koo's incorruptible investigator. David Lam was himself a former ICAC officer before he became a director and actor, and the series is known for its insider detail on how investigations are run.
