S3 (2017)

When a police commissioner is murdered in Visakhapatnam, the case is handed to Tamil Nadu's toughest cop, Durai Singam, on deputation. He arrives pretending to be a lazy, easy-going officer, while quietly building a picture of the people behind the killing. The investigation exposes a racket in which toxic medical and electronic waste is shipped into India and dumped, run by a powerful businessman's son, Vittal, who operates from Australia. Singam has to follow the money abroad while his wife Kavya waits at home and a sharp young journalist, Vidya, keeps crossing his path. S3, also styled Si3, is the third film in director Hari's Singam series after Singam (2010) and Singam II (2013), keeping the franchise's trademark breakneck pace, loud dialogue and non-stop chases, with parts of the action shot in Australia.
