Sajan Ki Saheli (1981)

Sajan Ki Saheli ("the beloved's companion") is a 1981 Hindi romantic drama directed by Saawan Kumar Tak, known for emotional family melodramas. It brings together a strong cast of different generations: Rajendra Kumar and Nutan, stars of the 1950s and 1960s, with Rekha and Vinod Mehra. The story turns on love, friendship and sacrifice, and the music by Usha Khanna, one of the few women composers of the era, is a draw.
