Sakkarai Thevan (1993)

Sakkarai Thevan is an early-1990s Tamil rural action drama starring Vijayakanth, with Sukanya and Kanaka as the women in his life. In the style of his village films of that period, it follows a fearless man who will not bow to the injustice of the local powerful, mixing romance, family sentiment and fights, and set to music by Ilaiyaraaja. It came during Vijayakanth's most successful phase as a mass hero in Tamil cinema, and its Hindi dub is known as Zamindaar.
