Sreekumar is a contented house-husband: while his wife Sujatha holds a busy job, he runs the home and looks after their child. Then Tomy Eeppan Devassy, a sharp army intelligence officer, arrives in their lives, and it becomes clear that Sreekumar's quiet domestic routine hides a past linked to a military operation in Kashmir that went wrong. The officer's investigation turns into a cat-and-mouse game between the two men, with the family caught in the middle. Salaam Kashmier, directed by the veteran Joshiy, brings together two of Malayalam cinema's senior stars, Jayaram and Suresh Gopi, with Miya as Sujatha, and moves from domestic comedy to a military-themed thriller.
