Samba belongs to a powerful family in the factional heartland of Rayalaseema. He wants the children of his region to study rather than learn the ways of the sickle, and he pushes hard for education in the villages, but a bitter feud with a rival clan, led by a brutal enemy, keeps dragging him back into bloodshed. Between the fights there is romance and comedy, with Bhumika Chawla and Genelia D'Souza as the female leads. Samba reunited NTR Jr. with director V. V. Vinayak after their blockbuster Aadi, in the faction-drama style that dominated Telugu mass cinema in the early 2000s, with songs by Mani Sharma.
