Popular comedian Sapthagiri takes his first lead role in this Telugu remake of the Tamil film Thirudan Police (2014). He plays a young man who has drifted through life and never thought much of his father, an honest police constable. When the father dies, the son is given his post on compassionate grounds and finds himself in uniform, surrounded by colleagues who are not what they seem. Slowly he starts to suspect that his father's death was no accident. The film mixes Sapthagiri's comic persona with sentiment and action, with Roshni Prakash as the heroine and Sayaji Shinde in a strong supporting role. It was promoted as the comedian's step up to hero.
