Saravana (2006)

Saravana befriends a young man whose family lives in the shadow of a murderous feud. When he visits their village, he falls for his friend's sister, played by Jyothika, and finds himself drawn into the violence between her family and a ruthless rival clan led by Prakash Raj's character. What follows is a story of love, loyalty and revenge in the style of a full-scale masala film. Directed by K. S. Ravikumar, Saravana is the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Bhadra (2005), and it offered Silambarasan one of his biggest commercial roles of the decade. Vivek handles the comedy, and the music is by Srikanth Deva.
