Sardaarji 2 (2016)

Diljit Dosanjh plays a big-hearted farmer whose village is struggling with drought and debt. Determined to help, he travels to Australia to earn money, and his innocence in a new country, his friendships and his entanglements with two women, played by Sonam Bajwa and Monica Gill, give the film its mix of comedy and romance. Though titled as a follow-up to the hit fantasy comedy Sardaarji (2015), it tells a fresh story with new characters. It was one of the big Punjabi releases of 2016, with Australian locations giving it a glossy look and Diljit's songs adding to its appeal for family audiences.
