Satellite Shankar (2019)

Shankar is a big-hearted young army jawan posted in Kashmir who gets a few days' leave to visit his mother in the south. His trip across the country turns into an adventure: he cannot walk past anyone in trouble, and every good deed costs him time, a train or a bus, until he risks not getting back to his post on schedule. Along the way a video of one of his rescues spreads on social media and turns him into an unlikely national hero. The film is a gentle, patriotic road movie about kindness and duty. It was the Hindi debut of Megha Akash, known from Tamil and Telugu films, and a rare non-action role for Sooraj Pancholi.
