Sastry is a mild-mannered young man from a priestly family, about as far from violence as anyone could be. Then he falls in love with a girl whose family belongs to the world of Rayalaseema factionism, where rivals settle disputes with sickles and bombs. To get close to her, he has to pretend to be something he is not, and his attempts to survive among hot-tempered strongmen produce a string of comic set pieces. The film is a spoof of the faction dramas that dominated Telugu screens in the early 2000s, and it was one of the comedies that made Allari Naresh the leading comic hero of his generation, backed by a cast of familiar Telugu comedians.
