Sevagan (1992)

Sevagan ("servant", in the sense of one who serves) is a 1992 Tamil film that marked Arjun Sarja's debut as a director; he also stars in it opposite Khushbu, one of the leading Tamil heroines of the period. Arjun, already known as the "Action King" for his martial-arts-driven roles and patriotic themes, built the film around the kind of righteous hero and duty-bound action his fans expected. He went on to direct several more of his own films, including Jai Hind. The Hindi dub gives North Indian viewers access to this early chapter of his career.
