Sid, a not-very-successful musician, and Trisha have a happy, playful marriage, until a baby arrives. Suddenly Sid feels shut out of his wife's life, Trisha is exhausted, and the romance gets lost among nappies and night feeds. Taking advice from a seemingly perfect family man, Sid starts carving out secret time for himself, and the white lies quickly snowball. Shaadi Ke Side Effects is a comedy about modern marriage and parenting, told largely from the husband's confused point of view. It is a loose sequel to Saket Chaudhary's Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006), with a new couple in the lead, and pairs Farhan Akhtar with Vidya Balan.
