Shamanthakamani (2017)

At a lavish birthday party, a rich young man's prized vintage car, nicknamed Shamanthakamani after the fabled jewel of Hindu mythology, goes missing. Inspector Ranjith Kumar takes up the case and narrows it down to four people who were near the car that night: a spoilt heir, a mechanic's son with money troubles, a young man in a tangled romance, and a middle-aged man with a secret of his own. Each has his own story, and the film cuts between their lives as the inspector pieces together the night. Bringing together four young Telugu heroes of the time, with Rajendra Prasad stealing scenes, it was an unusual ensemble crime caper for Telugu cinema and a modest hit.
