Shikhar (2005)

Jai is a talented, idealistic young man in Goa with a family and a girlfriend who love him for who he is. When the charismatic and ruthless builder Gaurav Gupta takes him under his wing, Jai is drawn into a world of money, glamour and big projects, and begins to measure himself by Gaurav's idea of success. As the builder's plans start to threaten the place and people Jai grew up with, he has to decide whom he really owes his loyalty to. Shikhar ("peak") was the second film by John Matthew Matthan after the acclaimed Sarfarosh, and it gives Ajay Devgn a rare turn as a suave, morally grey antagonist opposite the young Shahid Kapoor.
