Shivalinga, a CID officer, takes over a case that the police have closed as suicide: a young man named Raheem, who fell from a moving train. Soon after, his new wife Sathya begins to behave strangely, and Shivalinga realises that Raheem's spirit has entered her, refusing to leave until his killer is found. The officer must solve the crime with a ghost watching over his shoulder. Directed by P. Vasu, who made the hit horror film Apthamitra, Shivalinga was a success for Shiva Rajkumar, with Vedhika praised for her possession scenes and Vasu's son Shakthi as Raheem. Vasu remade it in Tamil in 2017 with Raghava Lawrence.
