Shock (2006)

Shekhar is a mild-mannered man devoted to his wife, played by Jyothika, and their quiet life. When the couple get caught up in the crimes of dangerous, well-connected men, the system that should protect them fails them completely, and the ordinary man is pushed into a hard, violent fight for justice. The film deliberately cast Ravi Teja, usually a cheeky, comic hero, against type as a soft-spoken husband turned avenger, with Jyothika in one of her few Telugu roles. Shock was produced by Ram Gopal Varma and was the first film directed by Harish Shankar, who later made Mirapakay and the hugely successful Gabbar Singh.
