Description

Shole ("flames") is a 1953 Hindi drama, the second film directed by B. R. Chopra after his debut Afsana (1951), and made before he founded B. R. Films and went on to Naya Daur and Waqt. Ashok Kumar leads the cast, with Bina Rai and Purnima. It is a black-and-white melodrama of love, family and moral conflict. The film has nothing to do with Ramesh Sippy's 1975 classic Sholay.
