Shor in the City (2011)

Tilak and two friends run a pirated-book business in a Mumbai slum, and one day their stolen consignment turns out to contain something far more dangerous. Abhay, back from America to start a small business, is being squeezed by extortionists and decides to fight back. Sawan, a young cricketer, needs money to bribe his way into a team. Over the eleven days of the Ganeshotsav, as the city celebrates, their paths cross in unexpected ways. Shor in the City is a dark, funny crime ensemble from Raj and DK, who later made Go Goa Gone and The Family Man. It premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2010, and is noted for its rich Mumbai street atmosphere and for Pitobash's comic turn.
