Simba (2019)

Mahesh lives alone in his flat, spending most of his time high, and his only real friend is Simba, a dog who, in Mahesh's eyes, appears as a talking man. As Mahesh falls for a neighbour and stumbles into trouble with dangerous people, Simba becomes his adviser and partner in a series of wild misadventures. Simba is a Tamil stoner comedy directed by Arvind Sridhar, with Bharath as Mahesh and Premgi Amaren as the dog, a deliberately offbeat premise for Tamil cinema. It plays its absurd humour straight and found a cult following for its strangeness.
