Srimannarayana is a decent young man who cannot stand injustice, and his habit of thrashing anyone who mistreats the weak keeps getting him into trouble while he falls for a lively young woman. When the dangerous men he crosses turn out to have a history with his family, a long flashback reveals his father, Dr. Narasimha, a fearless doctor who once took on a feudal tyrant and his clan to protect the people of his region. Simha was the 2010 Telugu blockbuster that revived Nandamuri Balakrishna's career and began his celebrated partnership with director Boyapati Srinu, later continued in Legend and Akhanda. Balakrishna won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for the dual role, and the film's thunderous dialogue and action set pieces became trademarks of the pairing.
