Simhasanam (2012)

Simhasanam ("the throne") is a Malayalam action drama from Shaji Kailas, the director behind many of the loudest mass entertainers of Malayalam cinema. Prithviraj plays the son of a feared and respected patriarch, played by Sai Kumar, whose position and power attract enemies from many sides. When the family is threatened, the son must defend his father's legacy. The film has the punchy dialogue, slow-motion entries and stylish fights typical of the director, and gives Prithviraj a chance to play the swaggering hero.
