Sweety is happy, confident and overweight, and her mother is desperate to get her married. When Abhishek, a match she genuinely likes, turns her down, she decides to slim down and signs up at a glamorous weight-loss centre run by a smooth guru. What she finds there, and the friendship with Simran that grows out of it, turns her focus from her own waistline to the people the industry is exploiting. The film is a light comedy-drama about body image, made simultaneously in Telugu and in Tamil as Inji Iduppazhagi. Anushka Shetty famously put on a great deal of weight to play Sweety rather than relying on prosthetics, a decision that drew much attention.
