Siva and Sruthi meet by chance on a train journey and, for reasons of their own, each spins the other a story about who they are. When the truth comes out, attraction and wounded pride pull them in opposite directions, and their relationship turns into a running battle of pranks, sulks and reconciliations, watched by exasperated friends and families. SMS is the Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009), and it was the first lead role for Sudheer Babu, who went on to a steady career in Telugu films. It was also one of Regina Cassandra's early Telugu appearances. Light, talky and youth-oriented, it is a breezy watch for fans of quarrelling-couple romances.
