Sniff (2017)

Sunny is a cheerful eight-year-old in a Mumbai housing complex who was born without a sense of smell. After an accident, he finds he can smell everything, and with far greater power than any normal nose, from what is cooking in every flat to clues no one else can detect. When a series of car thefts hits his building, Sunny sets out to sniff out the culprits, turning into a pint-sized detective. Sniff is the third children's film directed by Amole Gupte, writer of Taare Zameen Par, after Stanley Ka Dabba and Hawaa Hawaai, and like his earlier films it was made with a child cast and a gentle sense of humour. It is a light, good-natured adventure for young viewers.
