Solo Brathuke So Better (2020)

Virat is convinced that marriage is the end of freedom. Convinced by stories of married misery, he founds a club of young men pledged to stay single, and lectures anyone who will listen about the virtues of the solo life. Years later, working in Hyderabad, he finds his principles harder to keep than to preach, especially when he meets Amrutha, who has strong views of her own. Solo Brathuke So Better ("living solo is better") is a light romantic comedy and the debut of director Subbu. It is remembered as the first big Telugu film to open in cinemas after the 2020 lockdown, releasing on Christmas Day 2020 and drawing audiences back to theatres. Thaman's songs, including 'No Pelli', were hits.
