Soukarpettai (2016)

Soukarpettai is a 2016 Tamil horror comedy directed by V. C. Vadivudaiyan, starring Srikanth and Raai Laxmi. Named after a busy old neighbourhood of north Chennai, it follows a story in which a young man and the woman he loves are killed by greedy criminals, and their spirits return through an old house to take revenge on those responsible, with comic interludes between the scares. The film was one of the many Tamil horror comedies made in the wake of Kanchana, and Raai Laxmi had a series of such roles at the time.
