Kalyan is a lively college student in a small town in the Rayalaseema region, more interested in friends and the girl he likes than in his family. His father Dharma once ran a respected marriage hall, SR Kalyanamandapam, but he has sunk into drink and debt, and the business is close to collapse. The two barely talk. When the hall's future and the family's honour are at stake, Kalyan reluctantly takes charge and gradually comes to understand the man behind his father's failures. Kiran Abbavaram, who also wrote the screenplay, plays the son, and veteran Sai Kumar's performance as the father was widely appreciated. Released in theatres during the pandemic period of 2021, the film became a surprise hit, helped by Chaitan Bharadwaj's popular songs.
