Sreeram (2002)

Sreeram is a young man who has worked hard to become a police officer and is close to achieving it. A clash with a ruthless, corrupt police officer turns into a personal vendetta: the officer sets out to ruin Sreeram's career and the life of the woman he loves, and the young man has to fight back without giving up the honest uniform he hopes to wear. The film is a Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Dhill (2001), with Ashish Vidyarthi playing the villainous officer, the role he had also played in the original. It was a vehicle for Uday Kiran, then a popular young romantic star, trying his hand at an action role, with Anita Hassanandani as the heroine.
