About SRTB Radio Parakou

Radio Parakou is the northern regional service of Benin's state broadcaster, on air from the city of Parakou since 1983 and now run by the Société de Radio et de Télévision du Bénin. It carries news, current affairs, culture and music for the north and part of the centre of the country, on a transmitter network reaching from Savè up to Malanville on the Niger border. Alongside its French output it runs news and a weekly press review in Benin's national languages, which is what many listeners in the region tune in for. It is also carried on Benin's digital terrestrial television as channel 23.
