Summer 2007 (2008)

A bunch of fun-loving medical students from a city college treat their compulsory rural internship as one long summer holiday. Once they reach the village, the reality around them is impossible to ignore: indebted farmers driven to suicide, moneylenders and officials who profit from their misery, and armed Naxalite groups who see the system as the enemy. The students are forced to take sides and to decide what kind of doctors, and people, they want to be. The film combines a youthful campus mood in its first stretch with a social drama about agrarian distress in its second. It was one of the early lead roles for Sikandar Kher, son of Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher.
