Sehar, a dubbing artist in Delhi, goes out on a Saturday night and wakes up on Monday with no memory of the day in between. Strange things start happening: people seem to be following her, and a body is linked to the missing hours. ACP Rajveer Randhawa, a tough but wry police officer, decides to help her piece together the lost day, while a struggling actor and a taxi driver blunder into the case and provide the laughs. Sunday is Rohit Shetty's Hindi remake of the Telugu thriller Anukokunda Oka Roju, reworked to add more comedy, with Arshad Warsi and Irrfan Khan as a comic pair. It came out the same year as Shetty's Golmaal Returns and features Ajay Devgn in one of his regular collaborations with the director.
