Supari (2003)

A group of friends are ordinary young men in Mumbai with little money and big appetites. A chance brush with the underworld shows them how easily cash can be made, and before long they are taking "supari", contracts to kill, for a gang boss. The thrill of easy money and power gives way to fear and guilt as the violence grows and loyalties are tested, and the women in their lives watch them change. Supari was a small, gritty underworld drama of the kind made in the wake of Satya and Company, starring Uday Chopra in a rare dark role, Rahul Dev, Purab Kohli and Nandita Das, with Nauheed Cyrusi in support.
