Super opens in the future, in a transformed India that foreigners queue to visit, and then explains how it got there. Subhash Chandra Gandhi, a rich businessman living in London, returns to India out of love for a woman and for his homeland, and sets out to tackle corruption, poverty and political cynicism with methods that are anything but conventional. Upendra's first directorial work in a decade is a playful, provocative satire told in his trademark non-linear style, full of wordplay and digs at politics. It was a big hit in Karnataka and was Nayanthara's only Kannada film to date. V. Harikrishna's music was also popular.
